I imported my journal and set up cross-posting, but "memories" from lj did not import to dreamwidth. Is there a way of doing this>

In the wake of this election year’s catastrophe, and its devastating consequences for all of us, this site suggests donating money to worthy candidates and causes in lieu of gift-giving during the upcoming holiday season. It has a great list of organizations, and a tool to set up a giving schedule.

Please check it out. Signal boost! Please!

I was so happy when I cast my vote his morning for the first woman President of the United Staes.

Now, I am overwhelmed with anxiety.

Any positive words would be appreciated.

Thanks you, [livejournal.com profile] feliciacraft ,for letting me know that my 500-word ficlet What Gives won best drabble at the wicked awards (although I am one of those crazy sticklers who says a drabble is 100 words only, dammit)!

Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to the mods!

And check out that Spanderific banner!

Note: A few weeks ago, I wrote a ficlet for the prompt "Silver Lining" at [livejournal.com profile] slashthedrabble. Only when I went to post it, I realized the prompt was not, in fact, "Silver Lining" -- I had mistaken the title of someone's posted drabble for the prompt. Anyway, here it is. 300 words.

I was given the letter "S" by [livejournal.com profile] velvetwhip, so here goes:

Something I hate: Spoilers! And I'm rigorous about avoiding them.
Something I love: Sundays. Unless I'm in the middle of a big work project, I try to keep Sundays free from work, errands, or other obligations. It's my day for doing whatever I feel like doing, or for doing nothing at all.
Somewhere I've been: Slovenia
Somewhere I'd like to go: Sydney. I really want to visit Australia and New Zealand, but I fear it may never happen (my partner can't deal with the length of the flight).
Someone I know: [livejournal.com profile] sparrow2000, and she posted a story today!
A film I like: Spartacus. Safe. Sunset Boulevard. I gave you three!

I just returned home from vacationing in California, where I spent one day doing a bike ride along the beach from Santa Monica to Redondo Beach and back. But I decided to take a little detour along the way:

I just learned that Remembered, If Outlived was nominated at the Wicked Awards (in the categories Guise Will Be Guise and Showtime). This particular story being nominated makes me especially happy. I wrote it in the early days of my Spander love affair, and I was just consumed by Spander. I had never written any fiction before, but I was simply overwhelmed by the compulsion to write this story, and it was probably the most exciting and satisfying writing experience I've ever had. I don't know if it's my best story -- when I look at it now, I see lots of things I'd love to tweak -- but it's definitely the closest to my heart. So a huge thank you to the lovely person who nominated me, and to the mods of course!

I'm traveling, and Internet connections have been spotty, so I just saw that the Sunnydale Memorial Fanfiction Award winners were announced. My ficlet Adjustments won Best Romance, and was voted runner-up in the categories of Best Slash, Best Fluff, Best Unconventional Pairing, and Best Quickie Fic. Also, my story Upon A Stick was voted runner-up for Best Male Characterization (Spike). Thanks to all nominators and voters -- I couldn't be more pleased!

Additional thanks to dragonydreams for running the show, and a special shout-out to [livejournal.com profile] sparrow2000, who won for Red Frame, White Light, which you should read right now if you haven't already.
