I saw this meme somewhere a while ago:  List the names of all the files in your WIP folder, and offer up a sentence from any of them if requested.

I'm omitting drabbles, since there would just be too many.  Also, I'm using bold italics with stars** for the ones I'm going to finish someday if it kills me; bold italics for the ones I think there's at least some chance of finishing; and regular italics for ones I think about finishing, but probably won't. The rest are most likely permanently abandoned.

1.  2 slanders
2.  Angel's ashes
3. Beard
4.  Blue
5.  Byron
6.  Collar
7. Crazy Spike

Wow.  There's a lot of stuff I should probably just put in the trash and be done with it, huh?

Or on a positive note, there are a lot of things you need to finish writing!

That...is a daunting prospect!

You know what we said yesterday about insanity... *g*

Oh and I forgot to give you some selections for lines so - Collar,Talking and Mr Dugan - but only if you want to! :)

From: [identity profile] baudown.livejournal.com
1. Collar -- "There's a look Spike turns on him sometimes, a century of frozen tenderness melting, shining in his eyes."

2. Mr. Dugan -- "Before they'd left, his father had already been teetering on the edge of angry-nasty, his mother slurring a little, and sloppy. Mr. Dugan had seen, he knew, and that's what Xander was doing here."

3. Talking -- "And Xander doesn't want to be a prude, and he doesn't want to rain on Spike's gleeful, dirty, sex-talkin' parade, so he's been going with the flow, just letting the voice and the words wash over him, until he can't anymore, and this is where the shutting-Spike-up-by-kissing-him technique really comes in handy, because Spike is just as content to have a tongue sliding into his mouth as he is to have smut sliding out of it, and so everybody's happy, right?"

This is sort of useful -- I might use that line from Collar somewhere else.

I'd be thrilled if you used that line from Collar somewhere because it's gorgeous. I'd be even more thrilled if you wrote all of these - but then I'm a pushy reader! *g*

Thank you, hon.

I know where that line is going!

All this did was make me excited to see all the possibilities! And I'll take lines from Byron, Dru by fire, Heathrow, and Spike quoting Dru since we're unlikely to ever see those.

1. Byron -- "Except that the guy who calls him at work, murmuring, 'You are the very one I've searched for/In many lands, in every weather,' is the same guy who shoves him up against the wall when he gets home, growling, 'Clothes off. Hands and knees. Gonna fuck you now.'"

2. Dru by fire -- "There were footfalls behind him, and Angelus's laugh -- worse, sometimes, than a beating."

3. Heathrow -- "Which maybe explains why he starts sobbing the instant he sees Spike, although he sees Willow first, and he doesn't cry then."

4. Spike quoting Dru -- "Spike gave him a wolfish smile, but he wasn't a wolf, at all."

Spike quoting Dru may be back on the list of possibilities.

Ah, I like them all, but especially Byron and Heathrow. You're very good at getting right to the heart of the emotion and pulling it out in a clean, single string of text; it gets me every time.
