Below, my love letter to Spander:

Dear Spander,

I love you, my darling OTP, and let me count the ways.

I love you dark and angsty, and I love you sweet and schmoopy.  I love you romantic, and I love you hot.  I love you oblivious, and awkward, and pining.  I love you desperate, and I love you needy.  I love you working through your feelings, and your first time together.  I love you when it happens once, and  I Iove you when it lasts forever.  I love you in the basement, and I love you post-series.  I love you in Sunnydale, and LA, and New York.  I love you epic, and I love you in drabbles.  I love you driving cross-country, and traveling the world.  I love you possessive, and I love you understanding.  I love you with amnesia, and under a spell.  I love you as whores, and I love you as heroes.  I love you angry, and selfish, and giving.  I love you broken, and I love you healing.  I love you hurt, and giving comfort.  I love you casual, and I love you care-taking.  I love you dark, and I love you light.  I love you kinky, and I love you vanilla.  I love you in chains, and wearing leather.  I love you in an apron, in the kitchen, cooking dinner.  I love you snarking, and joking, and fighting.  I love you exchanging those slow, longing glances.  I love you dancing, and kissing, and fucking.  I love when you finally come out to the world.  I love you through a portal, and I love you domestic.  I love you jerking off, and being voyeurs. I love you post-apocalypse, and in the past, and in the now.  I love you insecure, and brave, and defiant.  I love you sad, and I love you happy.  I love you AU, and PWP.

I love you exclusive, but I love you with others.  Like Xander with Giles, or even with Angel.  Like Spike with Angelus, or Angel, or Wesley, or Riley, or Conner, or Lindsey, or...oh, let's face it, everyone.  But I love you best together.

I love you Spander, even if I sometimes get distracted.  Don't be jealous of McShep, or Fraser/Ray K., or John/Sherlock.  They're great, they're wonderful, but they'll never be you.

I love you for hours of reading, and writing.

I love you, Spander.  I love you in love.

Very well said, my dear. We love these two screwed up boys in all their complexity.

We may get distracted from time to time, and we allow them to find their own distraction, but we'll always come back to them and we're most in love when they come back to each other.
