Xander leaving Sunnydale and driving cross country and getting to NYC. The differences he felt in himself and then his nightmares. Not having any memory of Spike, but somehow knowing he had to go to see him. Finding out that Spike had been screaming his name from his cell and then Spike telling Xander that Xander gave Spike his soul to keep Spike connected. And that's where I started crying.
They were able to stay connected and the description of how was just gorgeous and I just went back to look at it again and I am tearing up. I will be reading this again soon, and will certainly be crying again it's so touching.
