The Fandom Snowflake Challenge Day Two
Jan. 2nd, 2014 06:15 pmDay 2 of The Fandom Snowflake Challenge is: In your own space, promote three communities, challenges, blogs, pages, Twitters, Tumblrs or platforms and explain why you love them. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
I'm gonna do more than three. Just because.
1. Spikecentricity, at the Soulful Spike Society -- BtVS episode analysis by Spring Summers. This is is hands down the best collection of Buffy writing I've read. She only does episodes that include Spike (other than The Zeppo), but the essays do not focus solely on Spike. I can't recommend this highly enough. Sadly, she stopped early in season 6.
2. The Audiofic Archive -- What it says. Fanfic podfic, and tons of it.
3. open on sunday --A weekly Jossverse drabble challenge. This comm introduced me to writing drabbles, and it keeps me writing fairly regularly, even when I'm feeling stuck. Lots of wonderful work to be found here.
4. The Spander Files -- THE Spander archive. I stumbled into this site a few years back, following a link to some Spangel, and I ended up falling in love with Spander. There's some non-Spander here as well.
5. Sparrow's Bat Shit Crazy Rec List Project --
sparrow2000's Xander-centric fic rec list is amazing. It's organized by categories, with excellent summaries, so it's a good place to look if you're in the mood for a certain type of story, or if you're searching for a story that you haven't been able to find. I've discovered more wonderful stories here than I can count.
Browse! Enjoy!
