Spike contemplates this idea, seemingly for the first time. "Not a stupid thought," he says, musingly, amused.

I'm really glad you did that little sequence before we got the hot stuff. It just establishes the parameters, helped me not worry about motives and allows the reader the pleasure of being able to wallow in what the boys are doing. Really nicely done.
