This started out as one thing, when I was ruminating about the victims, and who they are, and how they get lured in. And then, it went off on its own, somehow, so I was worried that it might not feel integrated. I'm really pleased it worked for you.

I'm also glad you didn't mind the brevity of Xander's appearance, although I think some readers will be disappointed by it. I wanted him to come in at the end of this story, but the beginning of their story together, whatever that might turn out to be.
