Looking for bright spots wherever I can find them.

It brought tears to my eyes. But that isn't anything new, the last few days.

It's heartening to see how aware the young people are. I think the protests will continue for the next four years.

I hope so. I'm planning to go to the Million Woman March in DC. I am feeling a lot of guilt over my own complacency and my lack of contributing other than financially.

I've been thinking about my role, or lack there of, as well. I am attending a discussion with my senator, Al Franken, on Tuesday to talk about how to move forward. Continual, massive protest can absolutely change the culture of the country and cause our politicians to move in a different direction. I've seen this with civil rights, the Vietnam war, the women's movement, gay rights, etc. i've also seen a few protest movements sputter and fail from lack of direction and cohesiveness. But I really feel there is the energy to keep the public response going, and I hope it does. I applaud you for going to DC.

I believe for the next four years, Trump is going to be hounded by protest and criticism from all sides. I don't think he's going to handle this well.

I'm so glad you're going to that meeting. It makes me feel better to hear about people getting involved. It's our only hope.
