I think I pretty much loved every thing about this episode. I didn't even mind the pregnancy reveal because I can just imagine Sherlock being oblivious to the fact that it's kind of personal and not something to just be deduced. But yes, I can see a lot of fanfic coming off the back of the vow.
I think after the angst of the two year wait, Moffat at al did the right thing concentrating on the relationship side of things, with the cases as more of an aside. These two guys' (and now Mary) actions and emotions have consequences and I'm very happy to see them.
Mostly I was just thrilled to see and listen to writing that was intelligent, witty and assumed the viewers had a brain cell and it was a joy to see all the actors having a ball with all those lovely words. (Yes, I have a word fetish *g*)
So many wonderful moments - Sherlock's speech deserves a post in it's own right. Mary and John dancing while Sherlock plays the violin, origami napkins on UTube and of course the ending - god, Sherlock walking away was just gutting. Can't wait for episode 3.
